Viareggio: An Espace Cartier by the sea

 In Business

Situated on a broad avenue, a few metres from the Tuscan Riviera seafront of Viareggio, the Sergio Capone Jewellery store is the setting for our latest Espace Cartier project. This popular holiday destination, known as the “Pearl of the Versilia Coast”, is the perfect location for our latest restyling job.

Begun in 2020, with a temporary installation while the store was undergoing a complete renovation, the work on the Espace was finished in June 2021. Our team did the millwork for the 10.5 sqm space, creating and installing wall panels, cladding, back-lighting, shelving, metal TV frames and a mirror, using classic Espace Cartier materials: wood, eco-leather, wall paper and gold-painted metal. They also installed the logo, TV screen, LED lighting and the freestanding furniture, counter and table.

Lying between the mountains and the sea, Viareggio is famous for its carnival and shipbuilding industry. An hour’s drive away, in the Apuan Alps, is the enormous quarry of Carrara where Michelangelo obtained marble for some of his most important sculptures. There are many reasons to visit this beautiful area, not least the relaxed atmosphere of the seafront streets and the famous “Passeggiata”, especially pleasurable to promenade along on balmy summer evenings. As you stroll past the jewellery store, no doubt you will be tempted to step inside and have a look around.
